Barbara & Wilco's adventure.

In 1997, Barbara visited Sardinia for the first time. Her father and her family live there. 

Barbara: This island was love at first sight for me, with its snow-white sandy beaches and azure blue Mediterranean Sea. The atmosphere, culture, food and people of this beautiful island stole my heart.

Back then an undiscovered paradise. By now I have been coming here with great pleasure for 26 years. First alone, then together with my husband Wilco and finally also with my children Aidan and Alicia. My love for Sardinia became our shared love and secretly we fantasized about our own place here. 'Indeed, not just any place, but this particular house that my father built himself.'
